Karen is a passionate chef, with a profound interest and love for creating nourishing, delicious menus for her celiac, vegetarian and vegan customers, as well as her ever-popular traditional Sunday roasts, delectable house specials, home-baked pies, pastries and made-to-order celebration and Christmas cakes.

At The Sands Bistro, no-one ever goes home hungry. There is always great food for every taste, dietary preference or appetite. (That’s probably why it’s always a good idea to book in advance!).

What a treat Went here for the 3 course Sunday roast menu, it was amazing. Generous portions of really tasty food, the gravy was to die for and all for 20 euros each. Brilliant value, great atmosphere and service, will definitely return!

Out with the wife,back to place use to go with my parents Perfect,the couple who own the bistro are amazing. Perfect service,perfect food & great atmosphere,nothing was beyond what we asked for. Starters where lovely & very tasty.... Lovely Sunday roast dinner & even had more roasties that was asked for.. Desserts Delishious... Use to come here years ago when parents where with us & still 1 of the best places to go for food & a lovely evening

Excellent restaurant This restaurant is exceptional, there is a lot of choice; vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options, the 3 course dinner menu including a 1/2 bottle of house wine is good value at €27.50. Everything is well prepared, beautifully presented and very tasty. The service is excellent. Allergies/intolerances are well catered for. You have to try it. If I lived in Torrevieja I would go very often.

Delicious We had a Sunday roast today 3 course meal for €20 which is excellent value All 3 course were delicious, onion soup, chicken & lamb for mains, banoffee sundae and baileys cheesecake for dessert The roast potatoes were a particular highlight Delicious food, excellent service in a very clean and tidy restaurant. You will not be disappointed but book in advance as all the tables were reserved.

Consistently brilliant We never miss coming to this restaurant a few times when over from England for holidays . It is consistently brilliant , food is always fantastic, great value for money . Service and the cleanliness of the restaurant is always excellent. Just make sure you are hungry when you arrive, the portions are very generous!!

Great place to dine with superb food and brilliant service Went on Sunday for their roast dinner and it was excellent. Starter, main and dessert for 20 euro represents really good value for money. I had the egg mayonnaise as starter and Mrs W had the black pudding. Sound a little boring but they were not the usual fare and were very very good. I then had beef and MRs W had chicken. Loads of meat and fresh veg together with roast pots and Yorkshire puds. For dessert, as I was a little full, I had the coffee and brandy (included in the set price ) and not a small measure of brandy either. Overall a great experience and have booked for Tuesday for the main menu

Amazing 3 Course Sunday Lunch & Drinks Our first visit to Sands Bistro on the 13th July, we really enjoyed our meal, and have booked to go back again in Aug when they re-open after their holidays. We had the 3 Course Sunday lunch menu, Garlic Mushrooms on toast and Chicken Ceaser Salad starters, both amazing, Sunday lunch itself was also very amazing, very hot and fresh and tasty, and a Meringue dessert and Cheese and Biscuits dessert, Lovely grub!! well worth a visit, especially if you are missing having a Sunday lunch, as the one at Sands Bistro is worth going for. Also had a couple of drinks to wash it all down :) Prices are good, and worth every euro!
